Nirvana Spa: Rich Body Butter

August 14, 2017

This body butter arrived in my mailbox one day and I still have no idea where it came from or who sent it. If you sent it, please shoot me an email! It is the Real Fruit Goodness Exotically Creamy Coconut Rich Body Butter from Nirvana Spa. According to the label, it is made in the UK. I’ve been using it on my roughest skin, my feet and elbows, for about a month now and am ready to share my results.

Styling Platform High Heels

August 11, 2017

I got these gorgeous platform high heels from AMI Club Wear about a year ago and I wear them all the time in the fall. A lot of people correlate heels like this with clubbing, but there are so many ways you can wear heels like this for a casual look. The fact that I’m a stay-at-home mom should tell you that anyone can rock heels like these! The ones I’m showcasing here have an ankle strap, which I love. It just feels and looks more feminine to me. Here’s some tips on how I style them for everyday wear.

A Real “How to Grow Your Nails” Guide

August 9, 2017

After I stopped my lifelong habit of biting my nails, I started researching how to make them grow long and strong. Unfortunately for me, everything I read said to “treat your nails like jewels” and basically never use your hands. I’m a stay-at-home mom. That’s an impossible expectation for me. I’m constantly buying my daughter new books that have pesky stick-on price tags, dishes always need to be done, and sometimes it’s just easier to pick at stuck on food instead of scrubbing for an hour. For all my fellow people out there who need to use their hands, here’s a real guide to growing your nails.

Note: Yes, I do know my nails aren’t insanely long, but they are strong. Length is a personal preference.

Rich On: Bronzer and Highlighters

August 7, 2017

I’m not really sure what the company is that makes these, but I got them from ShopMissA. The compact says “BR” on the lid and the back says “Rich On Cosmetics” so I’m not sure which one is correct. These are face and body bronzers and highlighters. I picked up every shade because they looked so nice and they were cheap. The colors are: #1 Summer Time, #2 Golden Sunshine, and #3 Bronze Radiance. I didn’t think they would all work well for my skin tone, but it was worth a try.

Whish: Revitalizing Cleansing Oil

August 4, 2017

“Whish is dedicated to the discovery of natural ingredients which enable intelligent choices for your skin. Welcome to a gentle new world.” That’s all I really needed to know before I decided I had to try some of Whish’s products! The product I decided to try was the Revitalizing Cleansing Oil, which is odd because I have more oily spots on my face than dry spots. Oh well, it’s worth a shot!

Malibu Glitz: Round Blushers

August 2, 2017

I already reviewed the square versions of these blushers, so I thought I’d also review the round ones. Again, I picked these up from ShopMissA and decided to get all six of the colors: #1 Silky Rose, #2 Orchid, #3 Peach, #4 Mauve, #5 Amber Star, and #6 Coral. Since I swatched and tested these after the square ones, I had little to no hope for them, but I figured I would give them a shot regardless.

Malibu Glitz: Square Blushers

July 19, 2017

I ordered these Malibu Glitz square blushers from ShopMissA with really high hopes of liking them. The swatches look so beautifully pigmented online, but not overbearing, and the rose imprint is absolutely gorgeous. I got all six shades to try out since they were so cheap: #1 Toast, #2 Champagne, #3 Cinnamon, #4 Neutal (no, I’m not incorrectly spelling “Neutral”), #5 Sun Storm, and #6 Rose Wood.

My ShopMissA Experience

July 17, 2017

ShopMissA has blown up over the past few months. Everywhere I look, I see people raving about how great this website is. I will be reviewing individual items later on but I wanted to talk about my experience with ShopMissA first. For those of you who aren’t aware, ShopMissA is basically the online dollar store of cosmetics. They do sell things that are more than $1 and there are things that are less when you buy them in sets—such as 12 sheet masks for $10. I placed my order on June 25, 2017 for 52 items, totaling $50 with free shipping. My order came on July 03, nine days later. Not bad.
