Malibu Glitz: Square Blushers

July 19, 2017

I ordered these Malibu Glitz square blushers from ShopMissA with really high hopes of liking them. The swatches look so beautifully pigmented online, but not overbearing, and the rose imprint is absolutely gorgeous. I got all six shades to try out since they were so cheap: #1 Toast, #2 Champagne, #3 Cinnamon, #4 Neutal (no, I’m not incorrectly spelling “Neutral”), #5 Sun Storm, and #6 Rose Wood.

My ShopMissA Experience

July 17, 2017

ShopMissA has blown up over the past few months. Everywhere I look, I see people raving about how great this website is. I will be reviewing individual items later on but I wanted to talk about my experience with ShopMissA first. For those of you who aren’t aware, ShopMissA is basically the online dollar store of cosmetics. They do sell things that are more than $1 and there are things that are less when you buy them in sets—such as 12 sheet masks for $10. I placed my order on June 25, 2017 for 52 items, totaling $50 with free shipping. My order came on July 03, nine days later. Not bad.

Amuse: 9-Color Eyeshadow Kit

July 12, 2017

I ordered one of these (#1) from ShopMissA and was accidentally sent #2 and #3, as well as an extra of #1. The only kit I don’t own is #4 which is a mix of blues. I’d like to preface this review by saying that I am not a fan of purple eyeshadow, even though it is supposed to work well with brown eyes. Each kit has nine coordinating shades, some matte and some shimmer, with most being matte.

Danimer: Liquid Lipsticks

July 10, 2017

I always see these liquid lipsticks on eBay, but pass them up, thinking that I can’t get a good quality lipstick for 99 cents. When I made a little extra money this month, I decided to just go for it and buy the entire set of 38. I paid $35 for the set, receiving a small discount for buying them all at once, with free shipping. It took about two weeks for them to show up in my mail box. Warning, this will be long.

L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Kits

July 7, 2017

This is a double review of the newer L’Oréal Infallible Total Cover Color Correcting Kit and the Concealing & Contour Kit. The Color Correcting Kit (225) claims to disguise dark circles, combat discolorations, neutralize redness, and brighten dullness. The Concealing & Contour Kit (220) claims to conceal dark circles, cover imperfections, hide scars, and professionally contour. Apparently L’Oreal is really concerned with my dark under-eye circles! What are you trying to say, L’Oréal?! Rude!

Lorery e Fashion: Eyeliner Pencil

July 5, 2017

While browsing eBay for a new purse, I can across this 12-pack of eyeliners and was immediately intrigued. It was only $6 for all 12 eyeliner pencils and they were all black. What more could I ask for? I immediately added them to my cart and then sat back and waited. And then I waited and waited and waited. It took almost a month, but one day they appeared in my mailbox. I had almost forgotten I ordered them! I will admit that I hadn’t ever heard of Lorery e Fashion before purchasing these eyeliners and I can’t find an English review of these liners online. Yay for being first for once!

Is Using an Electric Face Brush Better?

June 30, 2017

Is using an electric facial cleansing brush actually better than washing your face with your hands? I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. So what did I do? A lot of Googling, then a lot of sitting around confused by what I found, and, finally, an experiment. Welcome to the Beautiful Science Nerd.
