Monave: Bronzers

November 6, 2017

I don’t own too many bronzers, but I do like using them in place of contour powders and, occasionally, blushers. I decided to try Monave Mineral’s Bronzers since I love the rest of the products I’ve tried from their line. I decided to only get samples of every color since I don’t use bronzers often. The colors are Brandy, Rum, and Gran Marnier. I love that they’re all named after drinks, and correct me if I’m mistaken, but shouldn’t that last one be Grand Marnier? Regardless, I was super excited to try these!

Monave: Face Illuminizers

October 30, 2017

Sorry for the giant lapse in posting. I have been very sick, and then there was the great dog fiasco, which you can read about on my Instagram. Let’s get back to our regular schedule! I will now be posting on Monday and Thursday.

You may remember my review of the Monave Face Illuminizer in Glow if you’re a long-time reader of my ramblings. If you haven’t read it, spoiler alert: I loved it. So it seemed like a no-brainer for me to buy the other three colors in the collection. The colors are Glisten, Glow, Radiant, and Glimmer. How cute are these names for highlighters? I love them, but I wish Radiant was named something with a “G” just to match the rest. How about Gleam, Monave? Okay, maybe I’m being a bit silly!

Monave: Lip Glaze in Tigerlilly

August 21, 2017

I’m a lip product junkie, through and through. Liquid lipsticks have always held a special place in my heart. How did my lippie obsession begin though? With this: Monave’s Lip Glaze in Tigerlilly (#166). Not only is this lip glaze a beautiful color, it’s a vegan product. While I’m not vegan, I appreciate the extra time and effort it takes to make products that can be used by people living the vegan lifestyle. So, what exactly is a lip glaze? The best way I can describe this is that it’s a highly-pigmented lip gloss with amazing staying power. It’s also insanely moisturizing, which is always a plus in my book!

Monave: Loose Mineral Foundation

June 26, 2017

I may be pregnant, but that shine coming off my face is not a glow. It’s oil. I have the strangest skin. It’s oily in some spots, dry in others, and average in tiny sections. Most foundations cater to one area and highlight the flaws on the rest. I’ve been known to use two to three different formulas at once. Loose powder foundations have always worked well on the oily sections of my face but made my dry spots look horrendous, so I was hesitant to try this Monave Loose Mineral Foundation. I first ordered the sample size of the shade Claire, and later purchased the full-sized version since it was a great match.

Monave: Versatile Powders as Polish

June 14, 2017

I have already reviewed some of these Monave Versatile Mineral Powders as eyeshadows, but did you know that they can be used to create custom nail polishes as well? Since I’ve already reviewed nine colors, I thought I’d use a different shade, Hibiscus, as a nail polish. The only information I could find on how to use these as nail polishes was on the Hibiscus page: “Spread the fun on lips and nails.” Not too helpful, right? Here’s my personal take on using these versatile mineral powders as nail polishes.

Monave: Versatile Mineral Powders

May 29, 2017

Monave Minerals created these Versatile Mineral Powders and while they can be used to create custom nail polishes, lip glosses, or eyeliners, I prefer to use them as eyeshadows and that is how I will be reviewing them.  They are gluten-free and vegan products. The nine colors I have to review are: Cafe Latte, Semi-Matte Beige, Semi-Matte Bronze, Mermaid, Oasis, Gold Salmon, Rose, Taupe, and Hypnotic. They are sorted on the website by color family, so you may have to do some searching.
